Day: 5.  Dates: 22 Aug 2025 Fly into Arusha, Tanzania, for the night, situated in the center of Arusha it's convenient for just about everything in town. Handsome rooms are just the start, other facilities and services include a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, gymnasium and massage center. The professional-standard service is also part of the experience.  Off to Safari. Day: 6-7. Dates: 23-24 Aug 2025 Early morning road transfer with your private safari guide and vehicle to Tarangire National Park for 2 full-day game drives and 2 nights. Staying at Acacia Tarangire Luxury Camp means experiencing a side of Tarangire National Park that very few other travelers can. Located in the park's south, with few other camps in the area, it's a real treat having this place to yourself. Good wildlife populations, luxury tents, a dining and campfire area, and even a massage tent, are all highlights. You’ll be impressed with Tarangire National Park. Most visitors love the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky that make this place feel like a fairy-tale African landscape. Or visitors remember the elephants that roam in family bands everywhere throughout the park. If you’re lucky, you’ll also encounter the big cats – lions especially, but also cheetahs and leopards – that are always a possibility here. And there’s a fair degree of certainty that you will tick wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and zebra off your wildlife-viewing list. Lakes and lookouts, hippos, and happy adventuring. Day :8. Date: 25 Aug 2025 Full-day safari game drive Lake Manyara National Park. Take a guided game drive around the forests and along the lakeshore of Lake Manyara National Park, and look for elephants and tree-climbing lions, all in the company of an expert guide. You're going to love Lake Manyara National Park because it promises experiences you just can't get elsewhere. For example, this is one of the most compact parks in Tanzania's north: the park consists of a narrow strip of forest shadowed by vast Lake Manyara on one side and the cliffs of the Rift Valley escarpment on the other. The park is known for its large elephant and baboon populations, and part of the excitement of visiting here is never quite knowing when you're going to come face-to-face with an elephant. And then there are the tree-climbing lions for which the park is famous: this is one of very few places in Africa where lions routinely climb (and spend much of their time up in) trees. You’ll see a very different side of the African bush on a night drive. Away from the city lights, the night sky glitters overhead, while your guide will use a spotlight to pick out the reflective eyes of nocturnal creatures such as leopard, genet, porcupine, bushbaby and owl. Night Game Drive, Lake Manyara National Park. Nothing but nature – Ngorongoro. Day:9. Date: 26 Aug 2025 Crater Magic! Your guided game drive down into and around Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best safaris experiences you can have in East Africa. Watch for lions, hyenas, black rhinos and more as you spend most of the day exploring the crater floor. You will never forget the first time you see Ngorongoro Crater from above. Looking out from the rim of this extraordinary volcanic crater is like gazing down upon a lost world of wildlife and astonishing beauty. The drive down into the crater will be just as special, taking you down onto the crater floor where nature rules and no human being may pass the night. You'll spend the best part of a day exploring this remarkable place, seeing its lions, hyenas, black rhinos, elephants, flamingos and so much more. And when it comes time to leave, you'll keep looking back over your shoulder trying to hold these experiences in your memory. Put on some warm clothes and enjoy an early morning game drive. This is the perfect time to experience the wildlife and the landscapes they inhabit. The light is soft and warm – perfect for photography – and most animals are out and about, and active. If you’re not an early riser, you’ll want to make an exception here. Sensational Serengeti with the Big Cats. Day :10 – 11. Dates: 27-28 Aug 2025 Drive into Serengeti NP. You’ll never forget the time in the Serengeti. Perhaps it will be the sightings of leopards and cheetahs as they show their skills as feared hunters of the plains and valleys. Or that unforgettable moment when an elephant family feeds alongside your vehicle, so close you could almost reach out and touch them. Or the first time you hear a lion roar. Then there are the herds of buffalo, zebra or wildebeest so large that they move as one across your horizon, like a river. All these experiences are possible in the Serengeti, one of the most beautiful parks in Africa. Enjoy cool temperatures, forest wildlife (including elephants, buffaloes and leopards), and fine views of craters and mountains when you visit the Ngorongoro Highlands Optional: Maasai village visit, Ngorongoro Highlands Safari game drive Northern Serengeti. Day: 12-14. Date: 29 Aug – 31 Aug. 2025 Stunning Serengeti and the miracle of the great migration, as we drive southwest to spend our last 3 nights exploring the Northern Serengeti and getting to know one of the park's most beautiful corners. Wildlife viewing is excellent all through the year, but that is especially the case whenever the migration passes through. This is also the area of the park that sees the fewest visitors, which means you can enjoy the river, grasslands, rocky scenery and the animals without interruption. At Camp Zebra you never know which animals are going to walk past your tent. This fine tented camp is in the central Serengeti region, which means lots of amazing wildlife against a backdrop of savannah grasslands and acacia trees. The safari tents are large and nicely spaced, and there's a dining room and lounge tent as well. The stars at night out here can be incredible, and guests often hear lions roaring in the night. Optional: Take to the sky on a balloon safari in Northern Serengeti National Park. It will give you an entirely new perspective on the world down below. Kwaheri Serengeti. Day :14. Date: 1 Sept. 2025 Early morning safari transfer to Kogatende Airstrip; – Domestic flight back to Arusha to connect to your flight to the USA, or add: POST TRIP: Add 3 nights in ZANZIBAR Day 15-18. Dates: 1-4 Sept. 2025
