Yes. KapuAfrica Travel is knowledgeable about every region you’ll visit, and take all precautions to ensure your safety. In addition to having roots in Zimbabwe and South Africa, we frequently take trips to Africa and always use reputable companies and local guides who know each area intimately. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE START PLANNING?

The earlier you begin planning, the better your options will be. I strongly recommend starting 10–12 months in advance, especially for travel between June and October, Africa’s most popular safari season.

I specialize in booking distinctive boutique and luxury lodges that are in high demand and often sell out far in advance. While I can assist with last-minute travel, availability may be limited and flexibility is key.

HOW MUCH DOES AN AFRICAN SAFARI COST?

Every KapuAfrica Travel itinerary is custom designed, so pricing varies based on your travel style, length of stay, destinations, time of year, and group size.

As a general guideline, private safari experiences typically range from $500–$700 per person, per day, though this may vary depending on accommodations, internal flights, and activities selected. My goal is always to create the best possible experience within your desired budget.

Your custom itinerary may include:

• Carefully selected accommodations

• In-country flights and airport transfers

• Private ground transportation

• Privately guided tours and safari activities with expert local guides

• Exclusive experiences and VIP access where available

• Gratuities for local guides

• Meals as outlined in your itinerary

Each itinerary is clearly detailed so you know exactly what’s included.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

Items not typically included are:

• International round-trip airfare to/from Africa

• Personal travel insurance

• Gratuities for your KapuAfrica Travel host/guide

• Hotel incidentals (laundry, minibar, spa services, etc.)

• Optional activities or meals not specified in your itinerary

WHAT DEPOSITS ARE REQUIRED?

To begin, I first take time to understand your travel goals, interests, preferred style, dates, and budget.

• A $400 non-refundable planning deposit is required to create a detailed itinerary and begin checking availability.

• Once your itinerary is finalized, a 25% non-refundable confirmation deposit is required to secure accommodations and services.

• Many lodges and partners require additional advance deposits.

• The remaining balance is paid in scheduled installments, with final payment due 30 days prior to departure.

HOW MANY PEOPLE IS THIS ITINERARY SUITABLE FOR?

I design private, custom itineraries for any group size, from couples and families to multi-generational trips. Group departure trips may require a minimum number of travelers if booked privately.

CAN YOU PLAN FOR A LARGER GROUP?

Yes. I specialize in crafting exceptional experiences for milestone celebrations, retreats, and special interest groups. I can comfortably plan trips for groups of 40 or more, ensuring seamless coordination and a high-touch experience for every traveler.
